Welcome to JobFinder. Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and JobFinder Inc.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using JobFinder ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, job seekers, employers, and anyone else who accesses or uses the Platform. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By using JobFinder you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Employers must be authorised representatives of a legitimate business and agree to use the Platform solely for lawful hiring purposes.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- Not share your credentials with any third party.
JobFinder reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used fraudulently.
4. Job Seeker Rules
As a job seeker you agree to:
- Provide truthful information in your profile, CV, and job applications.
- Not apply for positions you do not intend to pursue.
- Not use automated tools or scripts to mass-apply to listings.
- Not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or identity.
JobFinder does not guarantee employment and is not responsible for employer decisions.
5. Employer Rules
As an employer or firm you agree to:
- Post only genuine, current, and lawful job opportunities.
- Not discriminate in hiring based on race, gender, religion, nationality, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Not collect sensitive personal data beyond what is needed for hiring decisions.
- Respond to applicants in a timely and respectful manner.
JobFinder reserves the right to remove any job posting that violates these Terms or applicable law without notice or refund.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including text, logos, graphics, software, and data — is the property of JobFinder Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. User-submitted content (e.g., profile data, job postings) remains your property; by submitting it you grant JobFinder a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and use it to operate the Platform.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
- Harvest personal data of other users without consent.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform.
- Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited communications.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully to understand our practices.
9. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. JOBFINDER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
JobFinder is a marketplace connecting job seekers and employers. We do not endorse any employer or job seeker and are not responsible for the accuracy of job postings, employer conduct, or hiring outcomes.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JOBFINDER INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cameroon.
